KATIE E. REID, M.D.
Medical Director for AFC Urgent Care – St. Petersburg Dr. Reid received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Miami, a B.A. in Psychology from the University of South Florida and a M.D. from Ross University School of Medicine. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has extensive experience in Urgent Care and in Pediatrics. When she’s not working, she enjoys CrossFit and working on her new home.
ALLISON TROWBRIDGE, M.D.
Dr. Trowbridge received both a B.S. in Biology and her M.D. from the University of South Florida. She is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and has worked extensively in the Emergency Departments of several hospitals, both locally and in Texas. She also had a good bit of Urgent Care experience prior to her coming to AFC. In her spare time, she enjoys paddle boarding, running marathons and spending time with her family.
NHAT NGUYEN, D.O.
Dr. Nguyen received a B.S. in Biology from Rockhurst University, and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She subsequently received her DO degree from the same school. Dr. Nguyen has focused on providing urgent care medical services over the past six years, and has been associated with AFC Urgent Care for a good bit of that time. In her spare time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys reading, travel, charitable work and hanging out with her Shih Tzu, Baloo.
DONALD S. FRANKLIN, M.D.
Dr. Franklin has a B.A. from Washington and Jefferson College in Pennsylvania, and a M.D. from George Washington School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He has been Board Certified in both Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He has extensive and long-term Emergency Room experience in Florida and also, some years ago, served as a General Medical Officer for the U.S. Army in Viet Nam. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Franklin enjoys travel, reading and the theater.
ANDREAS GROSSGOLD, M.D.
Dr. Grossgold received his medical degree from New Granada Military University School of Medicine in Bogota, Columbia, and thereupon joined the U.S. Navy. He completed his internship in Emergency Medicine at Houston’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, and then completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas Medical School and a Pediatric residency at Texas Children’s Hospital. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Urgent Care. Dr. Grossgold serves as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Reserves, and presently acts as Battalion Surgeon for the 4th Assault Battalion of the U.S.M.C. He additionally has a PhD in Integrative Medicine and maintains a related practice in the Clearwater area.
ROBERT W. LUFKIN, M.D.
Dr. Lufkin received a B.A. in Biology from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island (Summa Cum Laude), and a M.D. from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. He was originally Board Certified in Family Medicine, and later in Emergency Medicine. He worked in local Emergency Rooms for the past 30+ years and has been associated with AFC Urgent care since its inception in 2011. When not working, Dr. Lufkin enjoys reading, skiing and travel.
